1.     Circus Circus is looking to hire new employees!  Jobs range from Bus person to Midway Operator with pay ranging from $7.25-$10.35.  Stop by the Career Center for more info.  (Taveira 10/12-10/23)

2.     If you are interested in trying out for a winter sport, you need to be cleared by completing an Athletic Clearance Packet.  If you cleared for a fall sport and you want to go out for a winter sport you need to complete the clearance “QUICK” form ASAP.  Both forms can be found in the main office.  In order to try out for a winter sport you need to be cleared by November 1st or sooner.  (Sterett 10/13-11/1)

3.     Jostens will be here today (Thursday) &  tomorrow (Friday) October 22nd and 23rd accepting class ring and graduation orders.  They will be in the hall by the office during lunch through the end of the school day.  Extra packets will be in the office.  (Office 10/15-10/23)

4.     ROC Club is hosting a fundraiser at the Andelin Family Farm today, Thursday, October 22nd from 6-9 pm.  Make sure to mention you’re from Spanish Springs upon entry.  (Biggs 10/19-10/22)

5.     Senior Night for football will take place tomorrow, Friday, October 23rd prior to kickoff, around 6:30 pm.  Staff and students are encouraged to come and support the team for their last regular season home game and recognize the commitment of the senior players on Senior Night.  (Anderson 10/19-10/23)

6.     Seniors!  Are you interested in attending Sierra Nevada College???  Attend their Open House on Friday, November 6.  For more info see Mrs. Taveira in the Career Center.  (Taveira 10/19-11/3)

7.     Today, Thursday, Oct. 22nd HOSA is having a fundraiser at Yogurt Beach.  Be sure to mention SSHS or come to room 135 for a flyer to show Yogurt Beach when you are there.  (Klonicke 10/20-10/22)

8.     Looking for something fun to do over Fall Break?  TMCC still has openings available for Fall Break camps for teens like Volleyball, Aerial Robotics & Drones, Rock Climbing, Tennis, Archery, Fencing, Guitar, and more.  Visit to sign up.  (Office 10/20-10/23)

9.     Calling all Eco-Enthusiasts!!!  Spend your Fall Break exploring exciting green careers, meeting people from the local sustainability movement and learn about environmentally friendly business practices!  See Mrs. Taveira in the College/Career Center for more info!  (Taveira 10/20-10/23)

CONGRATULATIONS to the Varsity Girls Soccer Team for beating McQueen Lancers 3-1 on Tuesday!  Their last regular season home game is next Tuesday against the Reed Raiders and this will be Senior Night.  Let’s pack the stands and support our Lady Cougars!  (Long 10/22)
