Come to the office and see Mrs. Sterett for clearing.  A clearance form or a “Quick Clearance Form” needs to be completed.  All clearances must be in by Friday, February 19th.  (Sterett 1/15-2/19)

2.     Latinos Unidos will be having a soccer tournament from February 29th through March 8th.  It costs $15 for a group of 5.  Pick up packets in room 226.  Open to anyone who wants to participate!  (Cable 2/4-2/26)

3.     Latinos Unidos will be selling Fresh Fruit TODAY, February 12th during lunch.  $2 a cup.  Make sure to stop by and show your support!  (Cable 2/4-2/12)

4.     Seniors---Need money for school??? We have over $3,500 in local scholarships and $76,000 in national scholarships expiring at the end of this month!  See Mrs. Taveira in the Career Center or follow her on Twitter at sshhcareercenter! (Taveira 2/8-2/26)

5.     Over Spring Break, TMCC is offering classes in Driver’s Ed, archery, improve acting, fencing, creative writing, rock climbing, volleyball, and more.  Visit camps.tmcc.edu or pick up a flyer in the office for more info.  (Office 2/8-2/12)

6.     2 Drivers Ed classes will be offered at SSHS during Spring Break.  The first one is March 21-24, 8am-3:30pm.  The second one is March 28-31 from 8am-3:30pm.  The cost for each is $99.  Online drivers’ ed classes are also available.  Call 829-9010 to register.  (Office 2/8-2/19)

CONGRATS to the Wrestling Team for taking 1st place at the Placer Duals.  They beat Sierra League Champ Carson in the finals, 54-24.  (Imelli 2/3)

CONGRATULATIONS to the SSHS Bowling Team for the school’s first ever win against Carson City!  SSHS is only the 2nd school to beat the Carson team since the district bowling program began.  This makes the SSHS Cougars undefeated in their division with only one game left until playoffs!  (Schmidt 2/2)
